Finanțistul is live: a bank-grade company analysis, from a PDF

5 August 2026 · 5 min · Finanțistul

You upload the trial balance from SAGA and get, in a few minutes, what a credit analyst would hand you after a few days of work. Here is what it does, what it does not do, and why it looks the way it does.

As of today, Finanțistul is public. Upload the PDF of a trial balance exported from SAGA and receive, within minutes, a financial analysis report: a score out of 100 with a rating, 34 indicators with their formula and interpretation, the covenants banks check, the Altman Z-score and an action plan across three horizons.

Why we built it

Financial analysis is not hard. It is merely tedious and it takes time. The figures already exist, in the trial balance; what is missing is someone to arrange them into the ratios that matter and say what they mean. The accounting department has no time, and a consultant costs a few hundred euro and answers in two weeks.

The engine that runs the calculations has been working for years as a desktop application, across dozens of companies. What we have added now is the road between your file and that engine.

How it works

  1. Upload the trial balance. The file is read and deleted at once, in the same second. We do not keep it.
  2. Check it, free of charge. We show you what we understood: the company, the period, the number of accounts, the validation of the seven classes and a few raw figures. If it is not your trial balance, you found out without paying.
  3. Pay. Through Stripe, once, with no subscription and no account.
  4. Receive the report by email and in the browser, with an invoice.

What it does not do

It does not replace the accounting department and it is not tax advice. It reads what the trial balance says and nothing more: if inventory is overstated or the receivables will never be collected, the report has no way of knowing. A good indicator computed on unadjusted figures remains a good indicator computed on unadjusted figures.

For now we read only trial balances exported to PDF from SAGA. The rest of the engine has nothing to do with the source program; only the file reader is missing. If you use something else, tell us which: if we manage to interpret it, you receive five free reports.

What we do with the data

The PDF is deleted immediately after it is read. The names of the analytical accounts, which is to say the names of your customers and suppliers, are removed before you even get to see the preview. The remaining data has an expiry date, enforced by an automated process that runs every hour. Only two things stay: the invoice, because the law requires it, and the SHA-256 fingerprint of the delivered report, from which nothing can be reconstructed.

If the trial balance cannot be read, the process stops before payment. If the report comes out wrong through our fault, we refund the full amount and cover the transaction fee as well, up to 5 EUR.

See a complete report, on simulated data, or upload your trial balance straight away. The preview does not even ask for an email address.
